Name: ChéHair Type: Soft, Tight Curl :-)
Length of Time Natural: Fifteen years {no perm}; Four years {no straightening at all}
Q: Do you have a regimen? If so, dish!
A: I apply whipped cocoa butter everyday. Some days I brush it, some days I don't. I prefer the way the tight curls hold once I apply the cocoa butter and brush my hair forward with my hands...To keep the texture a bit askew, as I prefer, I will use a soft bristle brush instead of hard bristle brush...Brush the edges/hairline daily to keep the line-up sharp...
Q: What is the thing you love most about your hair?
A: I love the texture of my hair on top..The curls are a bit looser...A bit softer...each curl cuddles together in a very neat, symmetrical way on their own...

Q: What is the thing you hate most about your hair?
A: The curls on the sides of my head are not as loose or neat..I can't say I hate them...I would prefer a bit more similarity to curls on top though...

Q: Why are you an au naturelle chic?
A: Initially, perms damaged my hair...My hair is quite fine and soft and the perm was just way too much...In the more recent years, my hair transitions have signified a spiritual/internal/personal metamorphosis...Cutting my locs and maintaining a short haircut is part of a MAJOR spiritual transition I have undergone and continue to undergo...An external signifier that I am becoming more Myself...

Q: What is the hardest thing about being natural?
A: Hhhhmmm...Not much actually, lol...I guess, maybe, going to the barber regularly *shrug* It would be in my best interest to at least get a line-up every two weeks...

Q: You're about to shipwreck on an island full of fabulous people and you can only save 3 hair products. What are they?
A: My whipped cocoa butter, soft bristle brush, maybe a razor (to do the line-up myself)
