Name: Vonnie 
Hair Type: mainly 4a with a patch of fluff in the front that i think is 4b and then 3c curls all in the center.
Length of Time Natural: a year and a half...time flies by!

Q: Do you have a regimen? If so, dish!
A: Often I'll pre-poo with Honeysuckle Rose conditioner by Aubrey Organics mixed with olive oil and coconut oil, sit with that for a while, then wash my hair with Pure Life Aloe shampoo (natural ingredients, no sulfates)or Trader Joe's Tingle Tree shampoo. If I'm doing a wash 'n go, then I'll use a protein conditioner (Aubrey Organics GPB or V05 Passionfruit Smoothie) next because my curls pop more with protein, but if I'm going to just two strand twist my hair after washing, I use a moisture-based conditioner (Suave Shea Almond, more Honeysuckle Rose) and then twist with Qhemet's Olive and Amla.

Q: What is the thing you love most about your hair?
A: I love that it grows so quickly and thick now that I've gone natural. I was never fond of the straight thin limp hair that I ended up with after a relaxer, so this is fun and cool for me. Plus, it's cool and funky, not just a clone type look done in a shoulder length wrap.

Q: What is the thing you hate most about your hair?
A: SINGLE STRAND KNOTS!!! they are the bane of my existence and I hope to find a solution to make them non-existent. I hate having to find them and pop them off of my hair strands :(

Q: Why are you an au naturelle chic?
A: I was cheap/poor after college and didn't want to pay for relaxers/touch ups. Then i checked out websites like www.newlynatural.com and www.bglhonline.com and was HOOKED ever since!

Q: What is the hardest thing about being natural?
A: I have bad shoulders, so actually having my hands up trying to style my hair can be a long chore for me when it wouldn't be so bad for someone else. Two strand twists take FOREVER to do when they clearly shouldn't...so that's my own personal issue :(

Q: You're about to shipwreck on an island full of fabulous people and you can only save 3 hair products. What are they?
A: LOL! Good question... Qhemet's Olive and Amla heavy cream, Trader Joe's Tingle Tree shampoo, Aubrey Organics GPB conditioner.
