{Meet Her} Miss Kim

Name: Kim
Hair Type: I'm not big in the hair typing, but if I had to pick, I'd say 4a/4b
Length of Time Natural: Since June 11, 2010
Website:

Q: Do you have a regimen? If so, dish!
A: Right now, I'm in an experimental stage. Still trying to find the right products for me, but on a budget. I currently co-wash twice a week and shampoo deep condition once a week.

Q: What is the thing you love most about your hair?
A: I love that I can walk in the rain as if the sun were out and not have to worry about my hair! I am also learning just to love me the way God made me! I am loving learning about my hair texture.

Q: What is the thing you hate most about your hair?
A: It's been a month since the big chop, and if you ask my husband how he likes my hair, his response is "It's growing on me." I want him to love it as much as I do, but I'm appreciative that he loves me regardless of my hair...I just want him to love the hair too!

Q: Why are you an au naturelle chic?
A: I'm an au naturelle chic because I've chosen to embrace the natural hair God gave me. I feel more adventurous with clothing and makeup, trying to find my own sense of style! I'm just loving the ME that's emerging from this natural journey!

Q: What is the hardest thing about being natural?
A: Right now, it's just learning what works for me. There are so many products, blogs, etc. that are dedicated to natural hair. What works for one person may not work for the next, so it's a lot of trial and error to figure out the the right products and hair regime for my hair.

Q: You're about to shipwreck on an island full of fabulous people and you can only save 3 hair products. What are they?
A: I'm still trying to find what's right for me and I know I have the tendencies of a product junkie, so I am trying to use everything in the house before going out and experimenting with products. Right now, I love Shea Butter for moisture, Rosemary & Olive Oil for my scalp, and Organic Root Stimulator Hair Mayonnaise for deep conditioning.
