{Meet Her} Miss B aka "Lockrocker"

Name: Brittany but I go by B.
Hair Type: 4B
Length of Time Natural: Almost 5 years natural, 1 year loc'd

Q: When did you decide to lock your hair and why?
A: I loc'ed my hair in December of 2009. At that time I had natural hair for a good 4 years. I had fun with the huge afro, afro puffs, twists and natural styles and I was just tired of it. Not to mention it took 10 years to do my hair. It wasn't fun anymore. It was time to loc!

Q: Do you have a regimen? If so, dish!
A: You know....I'm still working on that. With every stage of locs I feel like I have to switch it up. The regimen I have now may not stay the same but right now the following works!

-Uproot dandruff
-Massage scalp with olive oil (I'll do this until I make a pre-poo serum)
-Wash with castile soap
-Clarify with ACV
-Hot oil treatment with olive oil (next time I'll add more essential oils)
-Rinse
-Re-twist if needed
-Sit under dryer (until the summer comes around).
-Spritz with Oyin Handmade's Greg's Juice for smell.

Q: What is the thing you love most about your hair?
A: It's different. I don't look like anyone else and even if I run into someone else with locs, mine look different. I LOVE that.

Q: What is the thing you hate most about your hair?
A: Dandruff. It's been a struggle for years and I haaaate it.

Q: Why are you an au naturelle chic?
A: Because I'm a tatted up loc rockin' bloggin' nerd who must have the latest gadget, whistles at construction workers and tries to rock the coolest earrings.

Q: You're about to shipwreck on an island full of fabulous people and you can only save 3 hair products. Quick! What are they?
A: That's easy! Castile soap and olive oil are really all I need. And guess what? I can use them both for face and body too. Score!
